VWR is a 2,818 square foot traditional single family home in Sherman Oaks. AGG Construction Group sketched the plan during the first walkthrough and delivered a completed gut remodel roughly five months later. Space planning and interior design were both handled in house.

The floor plan was reworked to add a powder room and two en suite bathrooms. That is straightforward on paper and difficult in practice, because the house was slab on grade. Every new plumbing run meant cutting and trenching concrete rather than working from a crawlspace. The existing bathroom layouts were rebuilt from scratch into something more practical for how the owners actually use the house, and a steam shower was added.

The structural work centered on two La Cantina bifold door systems measuring 18 feet and 13 feet 6 inches. Openings that wide required engineered steel beams and underpinning of the existing foundation before the doors could be installed. Once in, they changed how the house functions, connecting the interior directly to the outdoor space.

The project closed out with new flooring throughout, fresh interior and exterior paint, new doors, custom kitchen cabinets, reworked electrical, all new plumbing, custom closets, and new gates and gutters.
