Condo Remodel
1,723 sq ft
CountryGlen is a 1,723 square foot two bedroom condo in Westwood. AGG Construction Group remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms. The space started dark and dated, and the work was aimed at that condition before it was aimed at style.
Light is the first problem to solve in a condo, because unlike a house there is usually no option to add a window. What is available instead is reflectance, sightlines, and layout, which means the material and finish decisions are carrying work that architecture would normally do. A dark condo that has been lightened well rarely looks like it was decorated. It looks like it was always that way.
Kitchen and bathroom work in a condo also runs into constraints a single family home does not have. Plumbing risers are shared, HOA approval sits ahead of the schedule, and working hours, elevator access, and noise are all governed by the building rather than the owner. Those constraints belong in the plan at the start, which is how a kitchen remodel in a multi unit building stays on schedule.
If you own a condo in the area and want to understand what your building will and will not allow before you commit to a design, our Westwood general contractors can review the situation with you.
